Bread

There has been a lot of buzz on Jennie's blog about home made bread. (If you'd like her incredible recipe, you can find a link to her blog in the "Family and Friends" section to the left. It's really easy and delicious!) Yesterday I made two loaves of her bread in no time flat and I was able to bless my family with fresh bread for dinner. If you haven't tried making bread, you really should try this recipe. It only takes a couple of minutes of actual work on the bread makers part. Everything else is done by the mixer or by, well, waiting! And there is a lot you can get done while you wait for your bread to rise.

My house smelled so delicious all afternoon and tasted that way, too, by evening! I know some people don't have a big stand mixer, which the recipe is built around using, but I'm certain that it would only take a few extra minutes to kneed the dough by hand. There isn't much that should stop you from having homemade bread for your family every day. No, I don't mean baking it everyday. You can make extra and put it in the freezer.

I think I'm going to have to get more bread pans, though. I made two loaves yesterday and we are already almost done with the first loaf. So I can either bake bread every two or three days or get a few more loaf pans and bake once a week. I think I like option two better!
