A Romantic Dinner for Two

It was amazing! We all took a trip to the store together, all five of us, to get some special things for dinner. When we got home, I fed the twins while Sam began preparing our meal. I got the girls ready for bed and, in a relatively short amount of time, Sam and I had them sound asleep. We put the finishing touches on our dinner, I fed Sarah and put her in her bouncy chair and we lit some candles.

It was the most amazing thing, to sit down at the table with just my husband and eat a delicious meal of steak, coconut battered shrimp (great job on those, Sam!), a 'side' of mushrooms and a little wine. We spent the next two hours enjoying fine food and conversation.

Wow.

And to top it all off, the girls made it all night with very little intervention from us!

Congratulations! Those moments are few and far between, I'm sure. If I don't mind eating at 7:30 or 8:00 each night, we could do the same thing, but it's too late for me these days. I prefer my dinner around 5:30 or 6:00. But for romance, I'd probably suck it up!
