Wow.
The training 'method' I was using with Sarah went something like this:
Day One: Bring baby to the potty every half hour and help her sit there for 10 minutes. Talk to her the whole way there about going to the potty and what we do there. Say "potty" a lot!
Day Two: Let baby tell you when she thinks she should go to the potty.
Well, this morning, I was a little drousy and wasn't remembering what I was supposed to do, so I kept doing Day One stuff. Sarah pulled me right out of that, though, when she told me "No, Mommy. I don't have to right now." Huh.
20 minutes later she said "Oops. I'd better go potty!" When we got there, her undies were a little bit wet, but not bad. She sat and peed like a pro! In fact, she made it to the potty all but three times today! (Even #2 made it in the potty. Whew!)
She remembered while outside playing. She remembered while she was deeply involved in a game with her sisters under the table. She even managed to get herself there in time while I was washing my hands to go help her.
We did a lot of happy dances today. And we ended the day with celebratory Oreos, much to the delight of Sarah's big sisters.
Oh, and this morning, Katie woke up dry and Josie woke up very wet. Maybe tonight they'll both make it through! lol
Oy. The laundry.
G'night!

Hey Sandie! Good to meet you!
I can't tell you how exciting it is to find out something I blathered about might have actually helped someone out!
Your blog looks so cheery - I've got ya bookmarked.
So how's it going with the PT? ANy more successes? Has sarah made it through the night in undies? have the girls been staying dry? (p.s. if you know the girls have had too much to drink before bed and haven't peed enough, you might want to wake them yourself in the middle of the night to make them pee..then right back to bed. We did that with Angie for a while when she didn't want to give up her nighttime cup of milk.)
