Work

I love being a stay at home mom. It's my favorite job of all. But I have to confess I'm excited to have a project to sink my teeth into.

KJS Drafting & Design was officially registered last week and we already have a few customers lined up. We aren't completely set up for this yet, but Sam is borrowing some things from work to fill in the gaps here. Filing systems need to be set up and contracts designed and worded correctly, but tomorrow night Sam will be meeting with our first customer. I have butterflies!

In the next few weeks we will be getting a web site up and running that will explain in detail everything 'we' (meaning Sam) can do. The short of it is that Sam can go to local sites and measure a space out and photograph it. Then he comes home and draws it out in Chief Architect, a CAD program, and from there he can print the plan or design a new space from the old one. He doesn't have to be local to you, either, to do your work. A customer can e-mail or snail mail a quick drawing on a napkin with measurements written in and he'll draw from that. There is a great deal more that can be done, but you'll have to wait for the web site to learn more.

So now I can work a 'job' and be a stay-at-home mom all at the same time. It's really fantastic!

Since we all know how much time being a stay at home mom actually gives you to do other things, I definitely wish you good luck!
