Before nap yesterday, noticing a distinct smell of egg and milk on my twins breath, I decided to brush some baby teeth. After cleaning the offending mouths, Sarah popped up in front of me, looking for the same treatment. Using the opportunity to take a peak at her gums, I brushed her 'teeth' and inspected. There wasn't a hint of a hope of a tooth showing up.
Nap time came and everyone slept well. Sarah, after passing out and staying that way for two and a half hours, woke up and played by herself for a while before whining for me to come and get her. I began to feed her some lunch and noticed while she was chewing that there was something white in her mouth. I assumed she had gotten into something she wasn't supposed to and took a closer look. It was, in fact, her first tooth!
And it isn't just peeking up, either. It's sticking out from her gums as if it had already been there for weeks!
