Finally

I could go on with lengthy reasons excuses about my absense from the blogging world for so long, but I will leave it at this: Computers are fickle friends and when they decide to be mean to you, there is just no talking any sense into them. They'll work for you when they are good and ready!

Also, a lot has been happening around here and I could spend the next half hour blabbing it all out in semi coherent prose, but instead I think I'll take my time on catching you all up on the goings on of late.

For now, I'll skip the more serious stuff and ask you a question that I've been having trouble with.

My pantry is infested with moths! I've cleaned it out more times than I care to think about and I've wiped it out with amonia water. I've removed all of the shelves. I've put things in containers that I'm fairly certain they can't eat through, though I did find some larvea in a screw top jar I thought was safe.

Have you ever had this problem? How did you finally get rid of the little buggers? Or are you still battling them too?

I had moths once and they were in my rice, my garlic powder (?), and my garbage/dog food cupboard with adjacent napkin drawer. Basically, I threw out all the offending food products, sealed suspected items up and put them in the garage away from "clean" food, and cleaned out the trash cupboard and napkin drawer. I spent about a half hour killing every moth in the place before cleaning. My suspect food item was a sack of whole wheat berries, but nothing else developed out of it, so I let it back in after several weeks. I don't know where they came from, but they haven't been back.

My only advice is...freezing. Put anything you think might be mothy into the freezer for twenty four hours to kill any bugs, eggs, larvae, whatever. And kill every single moth in that pantry. Every single one.
