Twin Moment

After breakfast, fresh diapers on their cute little tushies, Katie and Josie began their morning play time. With bellies comfortably full and juice at the ready, they chased each other around their big toys without a care. Distracted by a particularly colorful toy, Josie began playing by herself, so Katie, in her usual fashion, went to the hallway and leaned her back against the wall, rubbing her rear back and forth. (I don't pretend to know why she enjoys this. I only know that it is a favorite passtime for her).

Then, she pushed her head back quickly, bashing it into the wall behind her. She looked at me, not crying or wanting sympathy, and simply said "Ow," while rubbing her head. She walked away from the wall. Josie took her place, rubbed her rear across the wall, bashed her head backwards into it, looked at me and then at Katie, saying "Ow," while rubbing her head.

Finally, the preliminaries over, Katie and Josie looked at each other, laughed, ran head-long towards each other, stopped just short of crashing and purposefully bumped their foreheads together hard enough to make them each take a step or so backwards!

They both sat down where they were and had little giggle fits. I laughed at their joy and silliness, but I haven't the slightest idea what was really going on!

It sounds like the bizarre mating ritual of two wild animals, not the playtime of two human babies!

Just there way of showing their love for each other though they don't know it yet.

They are a wonder.
