We almost didn't make it this year . . . But we are off to the fair today! It's the last day of the Sussex County Fair and, if the weather holds for us, I expect it will be a perfect day, just like last year.
There will be lots of fun things to do and see there today, from the truck and oxen pulls to the crazy swimming pigs! Puppet shows, livestock shows, treats galore and, of course, the rides . . . When we told the kids two days ago that Sunday would be Fair day, they jumped up and down with excitement. I have to say, I'm looking forward to it, too.
Today is also our sixth wedding anniversary and I think spending it enjoying a fair together as a family is a great way to celebrate it.

Our fair is one of the biggest in Kentucky, excluding the State Fair, which we're missing AGAIN this year. (Starts next week, right after David has some untimely surgery on his left knee.) As "big" as our fair is, though, it doesn't hold a candle to Sussex County. Have fun!
