Suited up in their snow gear, the girls ventured out into our backyard, suddenly transformed into a winter wonderland. The snow was up to Sarah's knees and it was still falling as they took their first few steps onto the back deck. Josie was first. She fearlessly led her sisters to the steps, now barely visible through all that white stuff. She made her way down the steps, blazing the trail for her sisters to follow, and she got just three or four steps into the yard before she succumbed to the giggle that had been building inside her. Pure delight filled her face and the air around her as she allowed herself to free fall backwards, trusting the deep snow to catch her. It did and she was rewarded with a perfect snow angel. Her sisters didn't wait to reach the yard to let their delight be known.
Still, they are playing their games and making their way through the deep, drifting snow with wide open smiles on their faces. This is the deepest snow they've ever played in and it appears they'll be loving it until bedtime.
