Katie's Good Book

Katie made a book last week.  She cut some typing paper neatly in half and asked me to staple it together along the long edge.  Then she wrote her name on the front and drew a big smiley face.  She then wrote the names of her sisters, each on their own page, and she even gave Mommy and Daddy a page.

Now, anytime she sees someone do something good, she draws a happy face on that persons page.  It has brought a wonderful outlook to her days.  Rather than complaining about her sister taking a toy from her, she waits for her sister to do the right thing just so she can draw a happy face for them!  Whenever someone does something sweet, she says "That goes in my Good Book!" and she grins as she reminds us all what that next happy face is for. I'll bet that she can tell you what every smiley in that book was given for.

Josie made one this morning and I'm sure Sarah will soon too.  They are all delighted by this idea and I'm quite a proud momma.  :)
