We had rain very early this morning that knocked a few of our taller tomato plants over. When I went out at about 11:00 to check things, I grew nervous to see that one of them had fallen by the pumpkin plant. Within it's reach for just a matter of hours, the pumpkin plant quickly entwined itself around the tomato plant in no less than 8 different places.
It took some doing to free the tomato, especially since I was fighting off the pumpkin at the same time. Seems you have to be quick around those things, because if you stay still too long, they'll get you but good!
