When asked to recount what she saw of yesterdays shuttle launch, Sarah became very animated. Her arms flailing in the air, her face turned up toward the ceiling, excitement pouring from every inch of her, she exclaimed:
"It went all the way to outer 'pace!"
She then dropped her hands, her whole body becoming still, her chin down while she looked at me seriously.
"Then it broke."
Of course, it didn't break. It did exactly what it was supposed to do. But when pieces fall off and crash back to the ocean, what's a 2 year old to think?
