Making Music Out Of Nothing:
You don't need an instrument in your hands to make music. Your body has all kinds of ways to make neat musical sounds.
You can sing, of course, and you can clap. You can stomp your feet, slap your thigh, thump your chest and tap your toes.
Spend some time today exploring the different sounds you can make with your body. (Nothing gross, please!)
Take a few minutes to listen to an a capella group, like my favorite, Rockapella. (If you listen to some of these samples, it sounds like there is a full drum kit behind them, but it's all done with their bodies!)
Have some fun. And don't forget to add these sounds into tomorrows activity!

Rockapella did all of the music for the kids gameshow "Where in the World is Carmen San Diego?" I was so impressed with them because they did ALL of the sound effects too, not just the songs.
