Kitchen Tip

I had a pretty good idea recently that, when finally executed, turned out to be a very good idea.

I hated having my ugly soap container out on the counter when everything was nice and neat, but I also didn't like having to keep it under the counter when I use it so often. I don't like the pump containers that you can buy because they tend to get yucky very quickly and don't clean up nicely.

So here is what it looks like now. No more big ugly soap container.

And here's what makes all the difference. (Thanks, Beckie, for picking it up for me!)

At first, the soap came out a little slow. But then I realized that when you use this for olive oil, you usually are streaming it back and forth. When you do that with this over your sponge or dishes, it works just as beautifully as it sits on my counter!

I stole her idea as well, and didn't want to post about it until she had a chance to. The yellow soap looks much nicer in the bottle than green soap does. But it is an effective way to pretty up your kitchen area. I found these olive oil bottles in my Shoprite for $4 each.

My stepmother did this, too. I noticed it during our last visit and keep forgetting to pick one up while I'm out.

It looks lovely, and maybe I'll remember to get my own soon!

You daughters are lovely - I pop in from Jennie's blog sometimes but haven't for awhile. They've grown!
