Little Momma

"Lay down, Fwawah," I overheard Katie say in her high, sweet voice. I was in the kitchen putting something away and I peaked my head around the doorway to see what Katie had in mind for her little sister. I saw Sarah, clothed only in a fresh diaper, dutifully sit down. Katie helped her by giving her a gentle nudge backwards. Without a complaint, Sarah laid all the way down. When her head bumped the floor, Katie asked, "Okay, honey?"

Assured that her sister was just fine, Katie went and got a wipe. She returned and patted Sarah on the thigh and undid both sides of her diaper. She pulled down the front and began wiping her up!

Though I was interested in seeing where this went from here, my instincts took over and I entered the living room, thanking my little Momma for helping change Sarah. With a promise that she could actually help me next time I changed her sister, she willingly relinquished the wipe and let me handle the re-diapering.

I think my Katiedid has a facination with diapers. Her own and Sarah's.

It sounds cute - but I imagine the reality of having her "change" a dirty diaper is less than funny.

I love you Katiedid - please stay little a while longer.

Love Grandma,
