Trivia Question #5

George Gershwin, one of my all time favorite American composers, was commissioned to write a piece for an orchestra that was to open their concert season. He agreed, but promptly forgot about it! It wasn't until he saw an article in the local paper announcing the concert and his own jazz symphony that he began writing it.

What famous piece did he manage to write, in time for the concert no less, in just three weeks?

Are you going to write anymore, or just post Jeopardy questions?

Of course I'm going to write . . . I just haven't had time lately!

I have these questions already done, so it's easy to use them as filler. I promise to write other things.
