Jennie's post about hugs prompted me to write about this.
My girls occasionally do things they aren't supposed to do: They may manage to get the remote control (which is strictly off limits for babies!) or the telephone, or a napkin which they immediately shred to little bits all over my carpet. On several occasions, as I'm telling them "no!" they will kiss me! They smile sweetly, open their mouths wide, (often saying "ahhh" as they do) and do their best to distract me from my carefully planned discipline. Only rarely to I allow myself a laugh. I can't let them know how well their little plot works.

A Citation:
The colon indicates the beginning of a list, not the end of a sentence. Do not capitalize the next word.
Also, there is some trouble with tense agreement, which is very distracting to readers. We have to work too hard.
Sincerely,
