And I put it in a container that looked far more than adequate for the meager amount of wet sticky stuff I was instructed to put in it by the cool new recipe I mentioned before. I set it on the counter for several hours, as instructed. I went about making our dinner and remembered to take a peak at it before we sat down to eat, just about an hour after I made that sticky dough.
It was overflowing. More than that, it was a breathing, living, writhing thing that was none to happy with it's containment. It didn't reach all the way down the sides of the container. It sort of clung to the edges, reaching, determined, but never making it all the way to the bottom. I kept it in check by piling it back up again every half hour or so. Finally, when I went to battle it one more time, it had given up the fight and collapsed back in on itself.
This was the sign the directions told me to look for. I put it in the refrigerator, covered, but not airtight. Tomorrow I will try to make some kind of bread with it. Maybe breakfast.
This might be worth it, as long as I get a larger container next time. The only fault I find is that this recipe makes enough for 4 loaves of bread. There is another that makes enough for 8 but I know I don't have a container big enough for that one!
More rambling another time. I'm sleepy. And need to sleep.
G'night
