I've been wondering what we were going to do about the girls and the fact that they just won't stop growing! They out grow everything so fast . . . from our favorite outfits to their car seats . . . it's the last one that has caused some trouble.
The stroller I use right now is really compact because it has no seats . . . you just pull the infant car seats out of the car and snap them into the frame of the stroller. It's GREAT! But . . . new car seats mean that we can't snap them into the stroller, so that means a new stroller . . . but why buy a new stroller now when I'm just going to have to get a different one in a few months when I have THREE little babies to join me on my outings?
So I asked on Freecycle (thank you Jennie) and sure enough, in just a matter of hours, I had a response from a very nice woman who only lived about 15 minutes away from us. She had a tandem stroller that she didn't need anymore and was more than happy to get it out of her basement. . .
I went and picked it up today and it is very nice and sturdy. Only problem is: it doesn't fit in my trunk. Right now, it's riding around as a front seat passenger. But, hey . . . it's only for a few months, so I can be picky on the next one . . . I wonder if anyone with triplets is freecycling a stroller . . . Hmmm....

Time to get creative! I'm a master at getting big things in small places, so lets start with space for a stroller. With the babies facing rear, you can usually slide a stroller in behind them. Even if they are front facing, you can fit the stroller in front of them and out of the way of other passengers. Babies don't care about leg room! As far as finding a three seater goes, good luck! Try a backpack or front carrier for the littlest baby when you need a stroller. (I keep one in the car, but seldom use it myself.) For walks around town, the best investment you can make is a radio flyer wagon. They are great, versatile, and your kids aren't likely to outgrow it for some years. They cost around a hundred dollars for the ones with high wooden sides. Well worth it. In fact, I'm in the market for a new one myself!
