Eating Habits

My girls have developed some fun eating habits I just had to share with you! Josie will patiently wait for me to give Katie a bite and then when it is her turn, she gets so excited to see the spoon coming towards her and she smiles so much that she can barely eat the food off the spoon! She tries to open wide, but her smile makes it tough. She is, however, remarkable neat. Very little food gets pushed out onto her chin and her hands are almost spotless when we are done! She does love to play with the cheerios on her tray. I think they must feel neat on her hands. She hasn't tried to eat them yet, though. I've fed her a few and she swallows half of them after sogging them up and the other half work their way out onto her chin . . .

Katie doesn't wait so patiently for me to give Josie her bite, but instead of making a fuss, she's discovered that an awful lot of tasty stuff winds up on her bib. So . . . while she waits, she puts her face down on her bib against the tray and sucks up all the good stuff that got away! She is certainly not wasteful! She has also started to try to get the cheerios in her mouth, but they usually end up stuck to her messy cheek. I'm waiting for one to end up in her nose. I'm certain it's only a matter of time.

Anyway, I'm having a great time with meal times with my babies. It is truely a joy!
