No . . . not his day job . . . Sam has finally (and I'm so thankful!) decided that doing band work on the weekends just isn't worth it.
He's been thinking about quitting for a while, but only recently, when they stopped being even remotely good to him, has he really been serious about it. It turns out that when we really figured out what he was making at this job which keeps him away from us for about 9 hours every gig (sometimes 2 or 3 gigs in a weekend . . .) it wasn't much. He was spending so much money on gas because all of the gigs are in south Jersey, that he was making VERY little each gig. In fact right now, because they are having money problems, he's been paying to work for them! So . . .
He gave them two weeks notice and I am so grateful! I don't have to worry about what his gig schedule is for the holidays or for anything else! And he'll actually get to spend a little time with his daughters . . . and wife . . .

I know Sam will love being with his family and perhaps have the time to do something for himself that he really likes to do.
