Sorry . . .

Sorry Jen, I didn't mean to miss a day! I've been over at Mommy's and Daddy's a lot this weekend to try and help out with the party for Uncle John. I think mostly I'm there so the babies can provide a little comic relief from all the stress over there, but hopefully I've been able to be a little helpful at least.

A quick update on everyone: Sam has been driving a lot this weekend running sound equipment for a band. It's a lot of time away from home for not a whole lot of profit . . . I'm not sure he'll be doing it for too much longer, but at least through most of November. It's sad really. He spends so many long hours at his regular job and he really needs weekends to relax, but instead he winds up helping out the band. I think in some ways he's too nice, wanting to help everyone. Hopefully that won't be going on much longer. (not the nice thing . . . the band thing . . .lol)

I've been trying to help Mommy and Daddy relax a little about this party. Plans seem to still be in the works and the party is Tuesday . . . a little last minute stress . . . No one knows exactly what's going to happen and everything is being put off to the last minute . . . it's crazy. But, despite that, I think it's going to be a really nice party for Uncle John. Lots of people will be there for him and we'll all sing "Happy Birthday" as many times as possible (he really likes that part . . .)

The girls . . . well, they've been getting into everything lately. Now that Josie is an accomplished crawler, her curiosity about everything has me looking for her most of the time. I'm not sure how she learned to crawl that fast. . . or maybe its just that she waits until Katie has my attention and then off she goes. Fortunately there isn't too much for her to get into trouble with. . .

Katie crawls all over still, but mostly she's crawling towards something she can use to stand up. . . That's her favorite passtime. Anything that is even a little bit off the ground is fair game. Things that are well above her head will suffice too. They've been in the kitchen a few times now and they love it. The first time they did, they just sat right inside the doorway wondering if I was going to stop them and also feeling the linoleum on the floor. It was very cute. I'll post some pictures of that later .. .
