Thanks, everyone, for your support about my last post. I actually didn't expect any comments on that one . . . I was just venting a little. But it turns out you've been there too!

Nicole did arrive a little later than planned, but it was worth the wait. I hadn't seen her in a little over a month (she tries very hard to get up here once a month to see the babies!) and it was nice to catch up. She stayed the night and the following day, her mother joined us for lunch. I hadn't seen her in a LONG time . . . and it was fun to chat with her again. I hadn't actually seen her since just after I met Sam 4 years ago (is that all it's been? It seems like a lifetime!) and I'm in quite a different place in life than I was then. It was neat to have a different roll in the visit . . .
