The girls were so very good today at the doctors office. They charmed all the nurses and smiled a lot for Dr. Lugo. He said that, even though he didn't know they were coming today, he had dreams about their little faces this morning! How interesting is that? He loves to make them smile.
He was very impressed with Josie's strength and her willingness to smile. He said she was well ahead of other babies her age, which made him happy because usually twins born a little early take about a year or more to catch up to full term babies. Josie showed off by sitting on her own with one hand on the table and smiling the whole time! She didn't really want to sit, though. If hands are near her, Josie likes to stand up . . . so Dr. Lugo got to see that too! She is 25 1/2 inches long and 16 lbs. 11 oz! Carrying her up the stairs when we got home seemed harder today than it did yesterday . . . lol.
Katie sat for Dr. Lugo and he was interested to hear the she is pulling herself up to standing on anything she can reach. He said that he usually doesn't hear that until the 9 month visit! Katie spent a few minutes talking to the doctor in a sweet little serious voice. He ate it up! Katie is 26 1/4 inches long and she weighs 18 lbs even!! Wow!
The nurse came in after the doctor left to give them their shots . . . Josie cried only a little for the first and a LOT for the second. Then Katie had her turn. She didn't cry at all for the first one . . . a different nurse did it and she made silly noises and faces to distract her! But she was startled by the second one and panicked. The tears were over in just a few minutes though and they fell asleep on the ride home.
So it looks like it's going to be time for some new car seats soon . . . and I definitly need to get some high chairs so we can get a regular routine going for solid foods! It's very difficult feeding one in my lap while the other one watches jelously!

Are you using infant carriers? You can use them as temporary high chairs till you aquire the real thing. Often you can find them second hand at thrift stores in great condition.
Congratulations on those healthy babies! (And I noticed you told us about Josie first! ) :)
Love you!
I meant high chairs. You can find highchairs second hand in great condition. Doesn't sound like that when I read it back!
Still love you!
