I had a third ultrasound today and a meeting with the Perinatologist. Things are looking much better now than they were a month ago. They did a full anatomical scan and a doppler brain scan. Both came out wonderfully. The brain scan was to make sure that the issues that could arrise due to the antibodies in my blood haven't actually become a problem. The doctor said that she was very pleased with our chances of a good healthy pregnancy. She does want to monitor things becaus ethere is still a chance for problems, but she is fairly confident there won't be. So . . . I go back in two weeks for another doppler and then every four weeks as long as everything is okay. When she said that, I thought . . . this is gonna be a piece of cake! I was going every week for the twins after the 23rd week! They will also be doing blood tests on me every four weeks to make sure that none of the antibody levels go up, a sign that my blood is attacking the baby's blood.
So, all in all, it's a pretty happy day! I'm a lot less stressed about everything and find myself more able to enjoy being pregnant (especially since I don't feel so sick anymore!!!)
