My children are all outside right now. It's 4:00 and they are still outside!
Why, you may ask, is this so exciting?
It used to be that I couldn't send them outside past 3:30 because a certain neighbor child came home at that time. Rather than spend the afternoon enjoying the outdoors, I would spend it trying to minimize her negative impact on my children. So we stopped playing with her, which meant no playing outside if she was home.
She doesn't live here anymore, though. And that means we can play outside any time we like. Even at 4:00 in the afternoon . . .
