Since I last blogged, Sam has moved locations. So if you are worrying that my husband is drowning in the Gulf of Mexico, fear not.
He is now in eastern Louisiana and he's 'getting his feat wet', so to speak, inspecting damaged homes. He also witnessed some damage happening today, since his area is being battered by tropical storm force winds. He's in a fairly calm area, though, considering the regional conditions.
He may be sent back to Texas, though, after the storm has passed to continue his work there.

I'm glad he was finally able to get his assignments. Exactly what is involved in his work there? They needed draftsmen, obviously, but what for? How is he qualified to inspect damaged houses? And what does he do with that information?
